US Redding Town Bailout Use of Funds

On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law and created the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund and the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. Together, these funds constitute the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (“SLRFF”) program.

The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLRFF), part of the U.S. bailout, is providing $350 billion to state, local and tribal governments across the country to support their response and recovery from the coronavirus emergency. public health COVID-19.

The City of Redding will receive $2,697,885.54 in American Rescue Plan Act funds, divided into two tranches.

Tranche 1 of $1,348,942.76 was received in June 2021. The second tranche of an equal amount, $1,348,942.76, is expected to be distributed in June 2022.

US Bailout Fund Task Force

A task force has been formed and tasked with soliciting and reviewing proposals for the use of funds that meet the parameters of the US Treasury Department’s final rule.
