UPDATE: Police found a body at the foot of the cliff where personal belongings were found around 8:30 p.m. last night (11/27). It is believed to be the missing hiker. His family has been informed.
A 29-year-old man, surnamed Ng (伍 鏡 元), left his home in Kingswood Villas, Tin Shui Wai, to hike Sai Kung yesterday (11/26) afternoon. However, contact with her family was lost and they turned to the police for help. Police and firefighters searched the area around Pak Lap Wan in Sai Kung, and the Government Flying Service also dispatched helicopters to aid the mission.
Search staff have yet to find any trace of the missing man. According to reports on the spot, a hiker found a group of personal belongings, such as cell phones, near a cliff in Pak Lap Wan at 9:00 a.m. (11/27) this morning. They confirm whether they belong to Ng. Personal effects were searched on site by the search and rescue team in the afternoon.

Ng is approximately 1.8 meters tall, weighs approximately 75 kg, is of medium build, with a pointy face and short black hair. Ng was wearing a green jacket, black pants and white sneakers when he was last seen. Anyone who has seen or heard from the victim can call 3661 1607 or contact any police station.
When questioned, the victim’s father said his son was studying architecture and design and other disciplines at university, and is currently doing related work. In addition, the victim lives with his family and has no emotional problems.
