ROME — The Rome Rescue Mission invites the community for an Easter celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 17. The dining room will be open and meals will be available to take away.
Easter meals will be delivered on Good Friday, April 15 to the following locations on a first-come, first-served basis:
-Valentine’s Day apartments – 11:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.;
-Rome Shopping Center – 12:15 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.;
-Georgian Arms – 12:40 p.m. to 1 p.m.;
-Madison Plaza – 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.;
– Colonial I apartments – 1:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.;
– Colonial II Apartments – 2:10 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
For Easter, the mission needs the following items: ham, salad ingredients, Easter sweets, Easter eggs, potatoes, fresh vegetables, butter, coffee and cream, orange and apple juice, muffins , chips and dip, cheese and crackers, eggs and bacon, milk and desserts.
Items can be donated 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 413 E. Dominick St. Monetary donations can also be made online at: RomeMission.org.
The Rome Rescue Mission is a Christian organization committed to helping the least, the last and the lost.
