Lagos employs 100 new firefighters and strengthens rescue services

The Lagos state government said on Thursday it had increased the capacity of fire services in the state with the employment of an additional 100 firefighters.

He assured residents that fire response time would now be faster.

Special Tasks and Intergovernmental Relations Commissioner Mr Tayo Bamgbose-Martins said this during the death parade of the 100 newly trained firefighters (squad 21) and the decoration of Ms Margaret Adeseye as director of the service of Lagos State Fire and Rescue. at the Ikeja fire station.

He said, “With the hiring of 100 new firefighters, the governor has solved unemployment issues in the state and boosted the functioning of the fire departments. Newly hired officers have received the training required to ensure the safety of life and property. “

Bamgbose-Martins praised the Sanwo-Olu administration, saying the investment in the agency would improve its service delivery statewide.
